Voi Hyvin is now Mielihyvin

We had to change the name of our honey at the request of the authorities

We have been marketing our honey under the name Voi Hyvin since 2004 and our customers have known our honey for a long time. At the request of the Finnish Food Authority, we had to change the name of our honey this year. According to the Authority, the name of Voi Hyvin (Feel Well) contained a health claim which misled consumers.
Renaming has been a difficult process. At first, we couldn’t believe we would have to change the name of an established product in 18 years to make our customers know us. We think Voi Hyvin, it was a wish we wished the customer well-being, and we don’t think we made an illegal health claim.
Fortunately, our company's second product, Järki Särki, was able to retain its name. The Finnish Food Authority also called for its name to be changed, but we got through our argument that the rationality of the product is related to the environmental impact and not to the rationality of eating a Särki fish.
Old packaging materials were also left unused.
The new name had to be considered for a long time, but we are now happy to announce that the new name for our honey is Mielihyvin Honey. Mielihyvin means, from our point of view, the same as the former Voi Hyvin. The fact that the use of our organic honey produces pollination benefits for nature and that our ecological, resource-saving production contributes to preventing overloading of our environment and climate change. When nature is taken into account in production, the consumer can and will enjoy using our products.
